Advisor Baseer holds public grievances redress camp at Srinagar

Srinagar: Scores of deputations and individuals today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Ģovernor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, to apprise him of their issues and concerns during the public grievances redress camp held at Grievence Cell, Church Lane, Srinagar.
A delegation of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation led by its President Mohammad Sadiq Baqal apprised the Advisor of different issues including disbursement of economic package announced by Jammu & Kashmir Government, extension in repayment of loans, loss suffered by business establishments due to unscheduled power cuts, deployment of snow clearance machinery, making water pumps of SMC functional, rehabilitation of traders affected by proposed road widening at Qamarwari, inadequate parking facilities at Lal Chowk and other important issues.
A delegation of youth requested the Advisor that graduate and post graduate youth should also be allowed to submit application forms for class 4th posts advertised by the JKSSB and the online link should be reactivated so that jobless educated youth may get chance to appear in the exam.
Similarly, a deputation of Low Paid Employees Union of Kashmir Government Art Emporium requested the Advisor to issue directions for release of their salary, leave salary of retired employees, withdrawal of provident fund and implementation of 7th Pay Commission.
A deputation of residents of Ara Khushipora Anantnag demanded establishment of Veterinary unit while another delegation from Wangan Pora requested Advisor to issue orders for release of funds for augmentation of transformers of receiving station.
The deputation of Beerwah villagers complained that the large number of brick kilns in the area is affecting their agriculture, horticulture, cattle and lives of people. They demanded reduction in number of brick kilns in the area besides their further expansion.
Residents of Yaseen Shah colony Hazratbal requested for allotment of power transformer in the colony.
Meanwhile, several other delegations and individuals also brought their issues into the notice of Advisor Baseer Khan seeking an early redressal.
