Srinagar: MSME Development Institute Srinagar under Ministry of MSME Govt. of India Tuesday organised a weekly online training on Udyam registration as part of series of webinar to be conducted by it for the next three months for hand holding MSMEs for new Udyam registration process, here.
During the start of the first online training session, In-charge MSME DI Srinagar Saheel Alaqband said that the Udyam registration will replace erstwhile EM II and Udyog aadhaar registration by 31st March 2021, and each manufacturing as well as service enterprise should have Udyam Registration.
Udyam registration is an online and free of cost self-registration process and must be done by the entrepreneur himself. Besides field offices of industries and commerce are also facilitating the entrepreneurs for the new registration process Udyam.
Till date, only 2200 MSMEs are registered in J&K with Udyam and these figures need to be increased at a rapid pace by creating more and more awareness about the registration.
Officials from industries and commerce and MSME-TDC Ext. Srinagar also coordinated in successful completion of the webinar.
