Kathua: District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Kathua, Om Prakash Bhagat on Thursday issued notification for phase sixth of Panchayat bye-elections for the vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats of the Panchayat Halqas of Barnoti and Hiranagar blocks.
The notification issued by DEPO also includes schedule of elections for District Development Council- Barnoti and Hiranagar Constituencies of the district Kathua.
As per the notification, the last date for filing nomination for Sarpanch, Panch and DDC seats is 26 November 2020, while the date of scrutiny is November 27. The Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 01 December 2020 while polls are scheduled to be held on 13th December from 07 AM to 02 PM.
