DDC Elections: ROs, AROs imparted training at Udhampur

Udhampur: A training programme for Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) for District Development Council and Panchayat By- Election was Friday held here under the supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr. Piyush Singla.
Around 35 ROs and 39 AROs were imparted hands-on training for the conduct of the ensuing elections. During the training session, District level Masters Trainers, Mohammad Latief, Abhinav Gupta and Madan Lal imparted training about the process of polling, handling of ballot boxes, counting of votes on the polling day.
Dy DPEO, Dr Shavi briefed the participants about the process of polling and stressed upon trainees to take keen interest in the training so that the poll process is carried on smoothly and in a peaceful manner on the poll day. She urged upon all the Officers to work in close coordination for smooth conduct of elections.
