Be professionals, dedicate yourself to public service : DGP to trainees

Srinagar: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh visited S K Police Academy Udhampur and held interaction with the probationer Dy.SsP of 13th batch and probationer Sub Inspectors of 24th batch. The DGP while addressing the trainee officers said that their one year basic training is concluding shortly and they are going to become part of a great and highly decorated J&K Police force, which is considered as one of the most professional and best police forces in the country today. He said the pride J&K Police carry has been achieved after display of great valour by the personnel in uniform without caring for their personal comforts and by their supreme sacrifices.
The DGP stressed upon the trainee officers to become professional and dedicate themselves to service of the people by sticking to right path and truthfulness. He said that since this huge batch of Probationer SIs has to serve in J&K for coming 30 to 35 years, they shall have to be more responsive, dedicated and well equipped in maintaining peace and tranquillity as well as defeating the nefarious designs of the anti-social and anti-national elements. He said that after joining this elite police force they must take pride in their uniform and remain in readiness to perform multifarious duties/tasks in various challenging fields of the J&K Police. He also advised them to remain firm while dealing with challenges and polite while dealing with public and their grievances. He said the positive attitude of police towards public delivery is important and it is necessary to have public goodwill and sympathy for ensuring peace. The DGP also advised the trainee officers to take special care of families of police martyrs in their respective areas of deployment which they deserve. He reminded them of the recent supreme sacrifice of Constable Altaf Hussain who displayed highest degree valour and responsibility while performing PSO duty.. DGP J&K and all others observed 2 minutes silence in the name of policemen killed in action so for . Lastly the DGP conveyed his best wishes for the bright service career of the trainee officers.
M.K. Sinha, IPS IGP Crime J & K, who also accompanied the DGP delivered lecture to the probationer Dy.SPs and Probationer SIs on Police Investigations and Cyber Crime. Dr. S.D.Singh Jamwal IGP/Director Police Academy conveyed his gratitude to DGP J&K and IGP Crime for sparing their valuable time for visiting the Police Academy and providing valuable advice and guidance to the trainee officers which shall help them in developing their professional career. Sujeet Kumar, IPS DIG U/R Range Udhampur, Sargun Shukla, IPS SSP Udhampur, Mohan Lal, JKPS SSP Asstt. Director (Ourtdoor), Mohd. Feisal Qureshi, JKPS SSP Asstt. Director (Admn), Ashish Rathore CPO, Rajesh Gill CPO, Suraj Singh, Dy.SP (R&D), Kuldeep Kumar Dy.SP (Q), Zahid Saif Wani Dy.SP (Indoor), Ramesh Chander PS/Administrative Officer, Vikram Parihar Sr.PO were present on the occasion.
