Expedite with the remaining works: Comr SMC tells officials

Srinagar: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Gazenfar Ali on Thursday reviewed various Projects under Atal Mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation.
During the course of meeting the status of all the works, i.e., Sewerage and Seepage, drainage sector, Rejuvenation of Brari Nambal, Urban Transport Sector, Green space sector, Water works Sector and other issues were discussed at length. Ali was informed the participants of the meeting that out of total number of 30 projects that have been identified under AMRUT, 28 projects have been allotted out of which 17 stands completed, 7 projects have 80% physical progress and 4 projects are expected to be completed Up to time line already fixed by the Government. The meeting further informed two projects which are yet to be taken up shall also be tendered soon. Regarding STP’s he was informed that both STP’s one at Achen and other at Aluchibagh are completed and fully functional.
While reviewing the status of walkways it was said that walkways at Peerbagh, Tengpora, Rambagh and Shireen bagh have got completed and an Idle parking in Pantha Chowk is also completed.Regarding Multi level Parking at old SMG ,it was informed that work is in progress with 65 % physical status as on date and Multi level Parking at Shiekh Bagh lal chowk with 59% physical status.Commissioner SMC directed all the concerned wings to expedite with the remaining works and get them completed within stipulated time frame.The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner (Adm) Joint Commissioner (works), SE Drainage, ADP Planning all Executive Engineers, representatives for SDA, LAWDA, PHE ,Floriculture, UEED and other officials.
