Let us begin with the pious Kashmiri verses of one of the pious saints, namely Sheik-Ul-Aalam RA “Und pooshi teli yeli wan pooshi” which literally means that we will only survive if forests last long. This green asset is the huge treasure for the survival of the universe. Forests are the green cover to which we human beings also get ultimate benefits. The green cover to which we depend is really the basic life supporting system for our survival. It provides us with the fresh oxygen and maintains perfect balance in the universe. The oxygen we inhale and the carbon dioxide we exhale is perfectly balanced through this huge and lofty asset. Forests maintain proper and balanced system of living on this blue planet. The basic life giving support is the oxygen for the survival of all living creatures on the planet earth. This fresh oxygen is provided to us by the forests. Forests play a vital role for our existence on this planet and we can’t live without them. The forest cover is undoubtedly the precious treasure for our survival and existence. This precious gift of nature should be welcomed with Utmost care. Our indifferent attitude towards them could lead us towards worst form of disaster. Almost every nook and corner of the world is adorned with huge and green lofty trees. The Amazon and California forests are the best examples. This huge and unending forest cover of Amazon and California are being witnessed with utmost and useful Ayurvedic medicines. The Ayurvedic herbs and shrubs are very eminent and useful for obtaining huge Ayurvedic medicine. Such forests are the world’s best forest cover producing huge amount of other medicines. The medicinal plants of these forests are famous all over the world.These are also abode to many wild animals. These forests are adorned with beautiful bird’s too. Some trees are hundreds and thousands years old in these most densely forests. Thus adding an unending beauty to them. Since, our valley is not less than a miracle when we talk about it’s charming beauty. The beauty of valley is really incomparable and unending. It is surrounded by huge mountains. The Meadows of Kashmir are famous all over the world with its ever lasting greenery. It is a green carpet recognising the truest sense of long lasting beauty. The lofty tress are found in Kashmir almost everywhere. The high altitude places are having beautiful green lofty trees. The forest cover comprises of useful plants, herbs and shrubs. Forest cover of Kashmir is the secret of its ever lasting greenery. The tourists all over the world visit many places like Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Phalgam etc. to see these lofty trees touching the skyline. Forests give us so many useful things like timber, fodder, medicines etc.
The best possible way to preserve this beautiful resource is to plant more and more trees. The reality is that if forests are there on the earth, then human beings and other animals are safe and alive on the planet. If they don’t last long, we too never.
There is no doubt that Almighty Allah SWT has gifted us with huge cover of forests but still we are falling short of this precious resource. The reason is our material approach and selfishness. The human nature has brutally snatched this abode to wild animals. The smuggling and illegal cutting of forests by human beings is at an alarm. This has resulted in many forms of untoward incidents. Such as the conflicts between human and animals. The wild animals can be seen coming from forests towards villages and cities because we have diluted their habitation by fierce cutting of forest cover. This precious resource is the backbone of our economy. That is why we need to survive the forests for our future generations. The illegal approach towards forest cover could snatch livelihood and habitation to many living things. We can’t define the benefits of forests in words. They are our ultimate resources. Such resource need preservation and care. They give us unbound and unending useful things for our sustainability. We could save other endangered animal species by preserving this utmost and precious resources. These lofty tress which could be seen touching the sky are providing us with huge timber and fodder. The forest cover really designs our planet earth and we could not survive without them. There are many places in the world which are very famous for their natural beauties. This is all because of this precious resource. Our valley is also one among them. It is covered with natural meadows, green carpets of grass and lofty trees. That is why people lose their senses when they see this unending beauty. One of the major reason is it’s beautiful forest cover. It naturally attracts the people from every nook and corner of the world. The importance of forests can be determined and explained in the fact that it gives us oxygen. We can’t live a few seconds without oxygen. Now how could we left this precious resource in the hands of death. It is totally nonsense, if we think that we are taking our material interest from them and what else we need. But the fact and reality is that we are not only cutting trees but our own lives. Our indifferent attitude towards forests is the extinction of our future generations. The survival of forests is connected to our future generations. If we preserved them, it means that we are giving life to our future generation. The green carpet and lofty trees are adding a new flavour to the various living creatures on earth. Saving of forest means saving lives of thousands of living beings. We can’t risk the lives of too many creatures by snatching this green cover for some pennies. In fact, it is the moral obligation to every individual to save his share of this precious cover. The best possible way to preserve this beautiful resource is to plant more and more trees. The reality is that if forests are there on the earth, then human beings and other animals are safe and alive on the planet. If they don’t last long, we too never.
