Times! What it takes to be a warrior of one’s life, it marks a question to us where we try to find logics for our every failure or success. There are many wagons of problems before us and sadly suicide is one of the raging hunters before us. The surge of suicide cases in Kashmir is a deep intrusive problem where a youth has been made so meek and feeble with social conditioning. There are many factors which have augmented it and list is so long to describe it, but conditions of insecurity is the main proposal which has led people to take such harsh step of ending their lives. Back times before the dawn of globalization of internet and travel, people in Kashmir were knit in a close social proximity bond and with the advent of Islam in Kashmir, it added a brotherhood bond which connected people with each other. People used to meet with each other warmly and all problems were solved by helping each other, there used to be an exchange of thoughts, worries and happy moments among people. The dawn of technology and globalization of extensive travel made people to see new things , cultures ,class ,dressing, food habits and new thought output across the globe . It made changes in the size of education, culture, money earnings and nomenclature of house structures. The systems of digital world also brought massive changes in the thinking, culture, norms, behavioral changes among people of Kashmir and leading to less interaction between newly created social classes. This sudden change among the lifestyle of people with newly crisscross ideology created chaos and confusion among people and it led to stiff competition for the aura of dress code to globalised domain of marriage cum party customs. The first attack on the independent theme of Kashmiri youth started with social conditioning, where he was raised with the fear of success, where he was fed that success means good education with a good output of job. Education got bifurcated into domains of government school and private school, where a kid studying in government school is seen as a backward and from poor background. A kid studying in a private school is seen from a high and upper social class, this line of social division led to frustration and depression among parents, which ultimately affected the kid of their provision. Parents conditioned the situational class of schools with money oriented status among kids and thus breeding differential money oriented social grouping on the basis of schooling. This exemplary depressive social classification created a pluck of inferiority complex among kids and some of them left schools before completion of studies. Even in the higher social class students, they too get depressed in terms of performance and marks race. The unnecessary stage created for worldly success as sole theme of life, made some youth to end their lives when they got failures and some fell for drug abuse with no signs of return. Monetary job profile success to be an eligible bachelor or dowry systems for the bride is a massive contributing factor of depression among youths and such insane cultural wedges mark late marriages, no marriages, fornication, eloping, suicide and some die in the longing of getting married. When these factors of education, career, success and social status become theme of life, then common sense and our actual Islamic afterlife goal of life takes a back burner. We run in the race of achieving deadlines and some among us cease to be humans any more. The dawn of such depressive factors not only takes one to the tides of getting oneself killed, but its continuous affects on brain reduces the age of life and creates factor of mental diseases among us. These insane customs, cultural insecurity, inferiority complex, educative success, job related social barricades, marriage social lines, caste related bifurcation, race of achieving worldly goals, and proving oneself to this world has lead youth among us to tread on the dangerous grounds of suicide.
We are Muslims whose main theme is not to get depressed or to kill ourselves for a world which is temporary one. We should fight with trials of life like warriors and ask forgiveness from Allah (swat), so that his will allow us to pass every trial of life successfully ( In sha Allah).
The only solution to come out of this problem is that, we have to come to the terms of our actual roots of Islam, where every phase of our life should stand equalized with the sermon of faith( that every good and bad comes from the kingdom of Allah (swat) and he knows the final conclusion of every action. The phrase of trusting on Allah and his plans will take our sinking boat of depression to positivity, it will guide us to actual theme of life and raise our bars of facing tests of life with bravery and patience. The first code to understand our life is by submitting ourselves before Allah (swat) and by acknowledging its phase of relief and hardship belongs to him. If we start analyzing career context by making role models from this world, we have ideal of holy prophet ( pbuh) who invested his worldly time for future in Jannah, so the context of worldly success story depression gets nullified with this model of our holy prophet ( swat). The model of marriage among Muslim world has a default setting of simplicity from the doings of holy prophet and so the context of getting depressed for marriage showoff and its social status gets nullified here. Coming to the educative domain of life success stories, we have successful Muslim scientists of past ( Ibn Cena ) who never studied in any school of show off and he proved his mettle for both kingdoms of Allah( swat). The module of monetary earning should have a pattern of Islamic way which teaches us to be thankful with whatever we have, the rich who sleeps on the royal robes may not have peace in life as per the will of Allah and might be taking sleeping pills for peace. This world is a temporary thing for us in which we have created systems of mental frustrations and we are made to run a race for this world which has a short termed future. When we will start having belief on ourselves by creating goals and timelines for our life, we will be special in every individuality. We have unique capability in our crafted souls, we cannot be a doctor in whole, writer in whole, engineer in whole, pilot in whole, a teacher in whole, a artist in whole. Accepting the will of Allah and making plans as per the objectives of our life will create a sense of security and boosted confidence among us and when it will be composed with the faith and belief in Allah, it will give a serene kind of peace in our lives. Let us collectively make our social norms fall on the lines of Islam, where a marriage would be done as per the laws of one’s worth and let us make our culture fall on the model lines of our holy prophet (saw), let we be thankful what we have, as the rich in royal robes aren’t that much happy which a poor one sees on outer side. Let we not make robots who get their lives depressed for scoring high marks and considering themselves as failures for not scoring that much. Let we make our youth choose their subjects of success, but in accordance of Islamic limits only, let we give them time to reestablish their goals, let we see failure as a start of a new goal, let we be the badgers of creating collective social bonding where a poor will mingle with rich and a failure will connect with a success. Let we sense that our goal of life is to prove ourselves before the tests and trials of Allah (swat) and let we make our worldly goals secondary before the laws of Allah (swat). We are Muslims whose main theme is not to get depressed or to kill ourselves for a world which is temporary one. We should fight with trials of life like warriors and ask forgiveness from Allah (swat), so that his will allow us to pass every trial of life successfully ( In sha Allah).
