Director Horticulture, Kashmir tours Pulwama, Shopian

Srinagar: Director, Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, conducted an extensive tour of Pulwama and Shopian districts, Friday. He was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officers of the concerned districts.
The Director inspected various developmental works and departmental nursery R. P. Nowgam. He asked the concerned to conduct time bound operations and ensure proper maintenance of the departmental farm.
Executive Engineer, Horticulture (P&M), was asked to ensure proper functioning of irrigation infrastructure and layout of distribution system at an earliest.
During his visit to ACHD, Zainapora, Shopian, the Director appreciated the efforts made by the Farm Manager, Zainapora and his staff in the plantation of imported root stock and its maintenance, amid the lockdown due to COVID-19.
On the occasion, the Director distributed face masks and protection gear among the departmental employees and lauded the efforts being made by all the officers of Department in carrying out time bound operations in departmental farms, nurseries besides, guiding farming community, while following the guidelines and SOP related to COVID-19.
