The Quran is the central religious text of Islam. It represents the fountainhead of Divine guidance for every Muslim. The holy Source of Islam is Quran ; and the model of morality in the Quran is completely different from the image of it formed in the minds of some westerners . The Quran is based on Concept of Morality , Love , Compassion , mercy , modesty , self sacrifice , tolerance and peace , and a Muslim who truly lives according to these moral precepts is highly refined ,thoughtful, tolerant , trustworthy and accomodating .
Islam Is A Religion Of Peace And Well Being : Islam is a religion of peace in the fullest sense of the word. The Qur’an calls its way ‘the paths of peace’ (5:16). It states that God abhors any disturbance of peace (2:205).
The word Islam has the same meaning as “peace” in Arabic . So the spirit of Islam is the spirit of peace. The first verse of the Qur’an breathes the spirit of peace. It reads: In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
This verse is repeated in the Qur’an no less than 113 times. It shows the great importance Islam attaches to such values as Mercy and Compassion. One of God’s names, according to the Qur’an, is As-Salam, which means peace. Moreover the Qur’an states that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was sent to the world as a mercy to mankind. (21:107).
The best way to understand Islam is through its holy Source : QUR’AN
Islam Defends Tolerance,Freedom Of Speech :Islam Fosters freedom of life , ideas and thought . It has forbidden tension and conflict among people , calumny ,suspicion and even having negative thoughts about another individual. Islam has not only forbidden terror and violence, but also even the slightest imposition of any idea on another human being . To force any one to believe in a religion or to practice it , is against the spirit and essence of Islam . Because it is necessary that faith be accepted with free will and conscience. Of course, Muslims may urge one another to keep the moral precepts taught in the Quran, but they never use compulsion . In any case , an individual can’t be induced to the practice of religion by either threat or offering him a worldly privilege .
God Has Made The Killing Of Innocent People Unlawful: According to Quran, one of the greatest sins is to kill a human being who has committed no fault: Those who kill innocent people without a cause are threatened with evil punishment. God has revealed that killing one person is sa great sin as killing all mankind . …. Islam is portrayed as a religion of “terror” and “killing”, yet this is just one of the most widely held misconceptions about Islam. Allah Almighty states unambiguously in the Quran (what means): “Nor take life — which Allah has made sacred — except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)”[Quran 17:33].Based on this verse, it is Islamically unlawful to murder anyone who is innocent of any crime.
God Has Commanded Tolerance And Forgiveness: Surah Al A’rafverse 199 ,which says “Practice forgiveness “ , expresses the concept of forgiveness and tolerance which is one of the basic principles of religion of Islam. When we look at Islamic history, we can see clearly how Muslims established this important precept of the moral teachings of Islam in their social life . Muslims have been characterised by thirty tolerance and compassion .
Conclusion : All this shows that the moral teaching offered to humanity by Islam is one that will bring peace, happiness and justice to the world . The barbarism that is happening in the world today under the name of “Islamic terrorism “ is completely removed from the moral teachings of Quran , it is the work of ignorant , bigoted people , criminals who have nothing to do with religion . Anyone who says the Quran advocates terrorism obviously hasn’t read its lessons on violence.Let all those agencies that carries anti Islam propaganda know that : The holy Quran stands for the unity ofGod -Head ,Truth , justice and peace .
