Srinagar: Acting tough against the violator of Government order for lockdown the Srinagar Police arrested a shopkeeper for the prohibitory orders implemented to contain COVID 19 spread . A statement issued to KNS reads ,Officers in the jurisdiction of police station Nowgam arrested a shopkeeper identified as Sajad Ahmad Wani resident of Bunpora Nowgam, Srinagar for violating Government prohibitory orders. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
A case FIR No. 34/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Nowgam and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
Police have once again requested the general public to follow the Government prohibitory orders in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealt strictly
