Srinagar: National Conference leader from Surnakote Tahir Manhas on Wednesday welcomed the release of party Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and urged the government to also release other political detainees including PDP Chief and another former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufi.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Manhas said the release of Omar Abdullah and other political detainees would facilitate the revival of political process in Jammu & Kashmir. Urging the party leadership to take care of the concerns of the people on the future of Jammu & Kashmir Manhas hoped that mainstream leaders of Jammu & Kashmir would facilitate the restoration of the basic political, administrative and economic rights of the people.
