COVID-19 threat: Div Com(K) visits SKIMS Medical College, Hospital Bemina

Srinagar : The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Monday visited SKIMS Medical College Bemina and SKIMS Hospital Bemina to review preparedness and arrangements in the health institutions for future exigency of COVID -19 suspected.
The Div Com inspected various section of the health institutions to take stock of arrangements are required for Coronavirus suspected persons.
He directed concerned to put in their best efforts and ensure adequate stocks of masks, Personal Protective Equipment, ventilators, testing facilities and other equipment besides quarantine and isolation wards are in ready mode, for future exigency.
The Div Com said the isolation wards will be established away from the congested areas and assured that any deficiency on account of making 250 bedded hospital fully functional for management of Covid-19 infection will be addressed by the Government including assistance for Coronavirus testing facility.
He directed the SKIMS Medical College and hospital administrations to provide logistic support for future exigency of Coronavirus suspects.
Director SKIMS Dr A G Ahangar, Principal SKIMS Medical College, Prof. Reyaz Untoo, Medical Superintendent SKIMS hospital Bemina Dr. Abdul Wahid Khan, OSD, Owais Ahmad
Deputy Director NHM Dr Jatinder Mehta, Coordinator SKIMS Medical College Dr Numaan and senior officers of Health Department and other concerned officers were also present.
