Namaste Trump – an event that was organized to get dollars in but it didn’t pay off well. The boasting Indian media that started advertising a week before trump officially landed in India proved futile. The important things India was eyeing on was a good trade deal to maximize the economic crisis and other one was Trump terming Pakistan a terrorist sponsoring land but none of that happened. Instead trump called Pakistan a good friend and appreciated Pakistan for coming down on terrorism. Well this one objective was left unachieved in Howdy Modi event held in Houston Texas. However, Namaste Trump and Howdy Modi were termed alike events. Whoso ever was first to do so must be termed one of the best political Analyst because now not even an iota of difference between two can be found as both were “Failure” when one sees through the prism of an Indian citizen. They were waiting Trump to criticize Pakistan but in neither of the events Trump did so and instead left india red faced. Unfortunately huge sums of money were waste. The Indian media persons, more than news reporters have become Actors except few who still have kept the morals of journalism high. The question now is, what did India got after spending crores and crores of tax payers money. I’m still wondering. Well yes PM got 4 hugs and a hope of Trade Deal and that too if Trump returns to power. This visit wasn’t left out of controversies too. First Delhi CM Arivind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minster Manish Sisodia who’s also Delhi’s Education minster were supposed to accompany the First Lady of USA Malina Trump were dropped off and were asked that their presence isn’t required as Malina was to visit Delhi’s happiness classes. . The most elegant part of this visit was the visit of Mr and Mrs trump to taj Mahal and what was much more interesting was the way Indian media news channels were making commentary on it. The Princess Diana bench on which Trump and Malina didn’t not sit to pose for a photographer and it was debated as if Trump did something which never again can happen. Mrs Trump’s dress colour was spoken about the chemistry of Mr and Mrs Trump was talked about and this drama seemed to me as if Film Actor , Actress, Director, Choreographer and producer have been invited to promote some flop film. Well no regrets, Indian media after all is used to it. Meanwhile, when the daughter and son in law of Mr and Mrs Trump got placed in camera lenses the news studio turned into a new world of fashion designing and love experts and began to talk about their chemistry. The anchors started to draw comparison between them and Mr and Mrs trump. Well, what actually they were trying to do is still confusing. This visit takes me back to Visit of 1st foreign delegation that made visit to Kashmir post abrogation of Article 370.
The controversial NGO took away the charm of the delegation and the Delhi violence took away the charm of trump’s visit. Well after having a round the historic monumental structures in India. Trump and Modi sat to have some serious talks. As it was made clear what issues may come up during the talks and it did. Trump termed Kashmir a big problem and showed his interest to play a role of mediator once again and left CAA to india. The news reporting on Kashmir by the media was that trump said he never mentioned that he wanted to meditate between the two countries. The channel that said these lines also displayed news flash “ Trump offers mediation between India and Pakistan on Kashmir ”. Now either they are lying or our eyes and ears have started to see and hear otherwise. As the huge security was put in place the worry grew up as how to make sure Trump leaves Taj Mahal without any untoward incident happening. By the time Trump along with his wife daughter and son in law were to leave Taj Mahal the Delhi was in the lap of Violence which began with the stone pelting on shaheen bagh protesters where SC appointed mediators were at work but unfortunately the process that was going in full swing had to stop due to unprovoked pelting. Then as the visit was coming to an end a Banquet Dinner was hosted by the President Ram Nath kovind where Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and leader of Opposition Of Rajya Sabha were invited but both said a no to the dinner party. Well opposition is somewhere mustering courage to say a no to government . As soon as Trump took off, then came another blow to the Indian diplomacy. Statements condemning Delhi violence started to pour in from OIC to US parliament. Satements started to gain momentum and then the poor MEA spokesperson was also set to counter the statements. This time it seemed that he was hard trying to figure out what to say but was unable to grab words. All he could say was to ask them to refrain from speaking up in such a way. It really was shocking to see a peaceful environment turning so violent. Killings mounted to 42 where as injuries kept on increasing. In all this came the ironic statement of Delhi’s Health Minster. When asked about how many people are serious. According to him there were only some people in serious condition but what news reports said on the other hand showed a complete different story from what the minster said. On the other hand, Sonia Ghandi led delegation met President of India and handed him a memorandum asking him to use his office and demand for the resignation from Amit shah the Home Minster who’s being held responsible for being unable to curb the violence. The burning cars, buses , shoppes and injured people on roads made Delhi a horrifying place. The worst hit of the violence are the students. Not to forget not even the schools were left by the mob. Schools were also burned down. Well now as Delhi is returning to peace let’s pray it remains peaceful because violence is friend to none. The Afghan deal in which India is taking a keen interest must be taken as a model and moral example.
