Srinagar: With former Jammu & Kashmir Finance Minister Altaf Bukhari and Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen the head of another regional
political party Peoples Democratic Front voicing their concern over the slapping of PSA on former chief minister Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti the political chaos continuing in Kashmir is unlikely to head to any dead end in coming months .
A top mainstream leader on conditions of anonymity told Kashmir Horiozon “though Altaf Bukhari raising raising demands for statehood and domicile rights was seen the beginning of an early end to the continuing political in Kashmir but government has virtually shut the doors of the restoration of political activity with the slapping of PSA on two former chief minister and several other top leaders of National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party” , adding that “slapping PSA on more leaders instead of reviewing the case of Farooq Abdullah on whom PSA has been already slappers shows that central government itself is unwilling to allow restoration of political activity in Kashmir” .
As Altaf Bukhari instead of remain silent over PSA on Abdullahs’ and Mehbooba Mufti in a sharp reaction to government’s decision demanded a level playing field for all political parties for the revival of a democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir and the statement itself is an indication that Bukhari is unwilling to take the burn of reviving the political process in absence of National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the two biggest regional political parties in Jammu & Kashmir. The centre’s decision over PSAs on two chief ministers and several ministers has come in for sharp criticism from even the opposition leaders in the parliament. Not only Altaf Bukhari but the leader of another regional political party Peoples’ Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has also raised questions on the government’s decision on slapping PSAs on two former chief minister and other senior leaders as he two has said that slapping PSA on three former chief ministers having the distinction of representing people of Jammu & Kashmir even in the parliament is blow to the revival of democratic process in Jammu & Kashmir.
