Srinagar:  Police and administration on Tuesday didn’t allow Pardesh Congress Committee (PCC) to do one day convention programme and the Jammu and Kashmir PCC President was also detained at his residence.

Mir has termed this undemocratic and said in democracy it doesn’t suit to put the leader under house detention and to stop him by doing the political activity.

According to KNS Correspondent The JKPCC have called the one day convention at Udhampur Jammu and the administration has not allowed them and put the senior leader under detention.

Speaking to KNS Mir said they have decided to carry the party convention at Udhampur, Ramban, and Banihal but the administration has not allowed him  despite he has informed the concerned officials.

He said he was given the permissions for the convention but on Tuesday he was not allowed to go ahead. He said it was only to met the party workers and there was no plan of any really.

Mir questioned the BJP has freedom for political activities but for congress it is not allowed, he said the authorities are claiming that in Kashmir everything is normal but the ground situation is far behind the truth. (KNS)
