Syed Masood Ashaq Bukhari

The author has written the following poem in Urdu but scripted in English language as a tribute to late Syed Shujaat Bukhari the veteran journalist and Founder Editor of English Daily “Rising Kashmir”:
Thae who ek mumin insaan pukarte thae sb unhe shujaat bhaii
Rehtae thae Kashmir mai lekin rehtae hain ab sab ke dilo mai
Na kisi se koi shiqayat nahi kisi se koi bagawat
krtae thae maddat har ek insaan ki
dee thi rab ne unhe izzat purae jahan ki
aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
jb aayi baad Kashmir mai
ban ke sahara rahe logon ke liyae
diya ghar hazaro ko
aesae thae hamarae sbhujaat bhaii
kiyae har ek armaan purae apnaeh bacho ke
jo maanghtae who laate
aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
na koi garoor nahi koi gumand
chaltae thae aam insaan ki tarah
bardaash na hoti unse gareebo ki takleef
datae thae khushiyaan har ek inssan ko
aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
Tha ramzan mahina
Jumma ka din tha
Jb cheena rab ne humse ghar ka taj
Bikhra diya hare k ghar ko
Tha who din jb pori duniya ne roya
Aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
Na thi kisi sae koi dushmani nahi kisi se koi shiqayat
Phir kyun cheena rab ne aapko humsae
Nah reh patae hain nahi jee patae hain
Aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
Ab jeetae hain unki yaad mai
Aatae hain sapno mai baar baar
Rehtae hain harek ke dilo mai
Aesae thae hamarae shujaat bhaii
