Baramulla: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. GN Itoo Monday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements put in place for Independence Day celebration.
During the meeting, a thorough discussion regarding the seating arrangements, presentation of cultural programmes, parade presentation, security arrangement, award presentation, etc was held. It was given out that in the district, the main function of Independence-Day celebrations will be held at District Headquarters Baramulla.
It was given out that various cultural programmes and special variety of programmes will be presented by students from various schools, besides participants from Information department and Cultural academy. Meanwhile, various committees were constituted to look after different types of arrangements, like seating arrangements, refreshment, etc.
The meeting was also informed that awards will be also distributed among persons with remarkable contributions in various fields.
Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner while impressing upon the Officers to show coordination and cooperation, stressed upon that the committees shall re-check all the arrangements put in place. He also directed the Officers of R&B, PHE, PDD and other departments to nominate Nodal Officers for ensuring that all necessary arrangements related to the Independence Day celebration are completed efficiently. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure the presence of all employees during the function.
SSP Baramulla, SSP Sopore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM’s besides all district and Sectoral officers were present during the Meeting.
