Kishtwar: Legal Metrology Department conducted an extensive market checking in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas.
As many as, 7 traders were booked for violation of various rules and regulations related to unfair trade practices and a composition sum of Rs. 9500/- was recovered from the offenders.
The offenders included a flour mill supplying less flour (Atta) in 10 Kg bags ranging from 100-200 gm.
The traders were warned to use only verified weighing and measuring instruments for commercial transactions and not indulge in any fraudulent trade practices.
