Srinagar PHQ bids farewell to Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP on his posting as Director, SKPAU

Srinagar: A warm send off was given to Dr. S D Singh Jamwal, IGP CIV PHQ at a function held in conference hall here today on his transfer. Dr. Jamwal has been posted as Director Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, recently.
Director General of Police Dilbag Singh while speaking on the occasion congratulated Dr S D Singh for the posting. He said heading the State’s Police Academy is an important assignment as there lies the future of our organization.
DGP said that he himself has served in the SKPAU and added that he has cherished those days as there were lot of things to accomplish. He said that Dr Singh is a capable officer and rightly chosen for moulding the minds and attitude of 600 probationary sub inspectors. He added that JK Police’s future for the next 30 to 35 years lies with Police Academy as these PSIs would be trained under the able guidance of him as Director.
The DGP assured the outgoing officer that Police Headquarters will always be there to assist him, and academy to provide better training, living and other facilities to the trainees in the Academy.
Speaking on the occasion A K Chodhary ADGP Coordination PHQ wished good luck to the outgoing officer and said that as Director SKPA Udhampur Dr. Singh has a chance to shape the future of Jammu Kashmir Police organization. He wished good luck to the outgoing officer for this assignment.
Earlier, ADGP Headquarters A G Mir in his address said that Dr Singh is an officer of many qualities and congratulated him on behalf of PHQ staff for the posting. Mir wished him very best for his tenure as Director, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy,Udhampur.
Dr. S D Singh Jamwal thanked all the officers and assured that he will try his level best to improve the training facilities and look every option which will be beneficial for the Police organization.
The function besides the speakers was attended by IGP (Pers) PHQ J P Singh, DOP S.M.Kapoor, AIsG PHQ Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Mubassir Latifi, Rajeshwar Singh, Dalip Kumar, Manoj Pandit and other senior officers of PHQ.
