Srinagar: Police in Srinagar raided a gambling site and arrested gamblers in its recent action targeting the anti social elements of the area.
Four persons Identified as Muneer Ahmad Bangroo resident of Nowshera, Sahil Ahmad Ganie resident of Soura, Fayaz Ahmad Gagloo resident of Bemina and Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh resident of Chattabal were arrested following a credible input about gambling activities in Chinar Bagh area of the city.
Officers have seized playing cards and a stake amount of ₹6,500/- from the gamblers.
Case FIR No. 27/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Kothibagh.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighborhood to the local police units.
