In modern times, life is very fast and dependent on transportation. Time for each person is precious. Time can’t be purchased, but manged. Some people are entrusted daunting tasks from their workplaces. Some are free to move. People whom are burdened with workload at their workplaces, must have manage their time. Some young guys freely move and enjoy time over motorcycle ride, or car driving or at any attractive place. Among all these circumstances, we must fallow moderate pace to do things well on the priority basis and refrain youth from fast driving. As the transportation is seen very huge at market places. It becomes difficult for a person to move lonely. There is always rush of traffic on roads or on highways. Conditions of the roads is often seen in dilapidated. Passengers face jerks or head collisions with front seats, while traveling over these dilapidated roads. This bad conditions of roads has made miserable life of people and worsens condition of vehicles. On 01/07/2019 at 7:00 am, a passenger Bus fell in gorge killed 35 ,17 injured.Governor of J&K, Satyapal Malik condemned loss of lives and announced 5 lakh exgratia relief for their bereaved families. He also ordered for cancellation of old vehicles and cancellation of license to untrained drivers. It is much difficult for the department.
It has been rightly said, “Prevention is better than cure”. As the traffic laws are clear and traffic is heavily moving on every road. Traffic department must take remedial measures to control accidents. Need of the hour for the traffic department is to ban overloading, over speeding, to check wearing of helmet for two-wheelers, which are accident prone activities. To deal with overloading of passengers, department should contact with village people to give them timely and safe traffic services. To deal with over speeding and overloading, traffic cops should be posted on roads to keep eye on these activities. They should be given jurisdiction of roads. As the Registration, pollution certificate, Insurance, fitness certificate and license is important for a driver to hold, while driving. It is mandatory to seize vehicles without RC and to fine, If the driver didn’t possesses Insurance, fitness certificate or pollution certificate. Important proof to have good driving skills of a driver is to have valid driving license. Unfortunately, so many driving licenses have been issued fraudulently. Even, they didn’t know driving rules.
It is welcoming that traffic department has made mandatory for learners to pass computer test, on which knowledge of traffic rules and symbols is checked. Unfortunately, illiterate people are allowed to sit on computer screen to pass the test, even when educated people sometimes fail to pass this test. They seek assistance, which is unethical to compromise with an employee. Because, it is the question of safety of lives. It is great problem for learner and for the traffic department. To overcome this problem, Traffic Department must take admission for learners, give classes and practices. In this way, Department can collect huge revenue and can ensure good driving skills of Drivers. Department has issued license to some private institutions to learn driving to learners. It is not sufficient to give steering practice for few days to drive in huge traffic in future which is also accidental for some to keep them untrained? In conclusion, we can say, traffic rules should be followed and traffic laws should be exercised. Traffic rules ànd laws are safety of lives. Vehicles should be timely checked from wearing and tearing to ensure safe driving. Safe driving is better than fast driving. Human life is precious.
