Kathua: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal Thursday reviewed the status of infrastructure in respect of Toilets, Drinking Water and Electricity in Government Schools here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Shubra Sharma, CPO, Uttam Singh, CEO, Prem Nath, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD and School Education Department besides other officers.
The DDC emphasized on coordination among the departments to achieve 100% saturation target by May 31, 2019.
He asked for actual assessment of deficit schools on minimum requirement basis, preparing of DPR for the purpose and its submission to the concerned departments for release of funds, to monitor the works executed by different agencies and to ensure completion of the works within the specified time period.
It was informed in the meeting that repair of non functional toilets shall be ensured by dovetailing funds of School Education Department with other sources, power connection to the schools shall be provided under SAUBHAGYA Plus and funds required for providing water supply to the Schools shall be ensured by School Education Department as per the DPR.
