Kishtwar: General Observer for two assembly segments of district Kishtwar M. Joy Sing Wednesday reviewed preparedness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections in Udhampur Parliamentary constituency here at New DC Office complex.
District Election Officer Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana briefed the Observer about the election preparedness viz-a-viz Model Code of Conduct, Manpower management, EVM/VVPAT, material management, expenditure monitoring and ballot papers/postal ballots, training and SVEEP, IT applications, Transport management, communication plan, assured minimum facilities, arrangements regarding persons with disabilities, necessary arrangements in snowbound areas etc.
DEO further added that district administration is fully prepared for ensuring the hassle-free and fair conduct of elections.
SSP Kishtwar, Shakti Kumar Pathak, briefed the Observer about the security arrangements, law and order besides force deployment for ensuring the smooth, free and fair election in the district.
On the occasion, the Observer enjoined upon the concerned officers to work in coordination and cooperation for the smooth completion of the election process in a fair, transparent and responsive manner.
The meeting was attended among others by ADDC Kishtwar, Mohammad Hanief Malik, ARO-51 Kishtwar (ADC) Pawan Parihar, ARO- 52 Inderwal (ACR) Dr. Amir Hussain, ACD Kishtwar, Anil Chandail, Nodal Officers, ENT Kishtwar and other concerned.
