Srinagar: An earthquake measuring 5.6 on Richter scale has hit Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday. However, no casualty or collateral damage has been reported from the area. According to reports, tremors were also felt in Delhi-NCR. More details are still awaited. Meanwhile, earlier Tuesday, a low-intensity earthquake hit Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district. According to initial reports, an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 struck Mandi district at 7:33 pm.
A moderate intensity earthquake was felt in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district in September last year. No loss of life or property was reported.
