Advisor (K) holds public grievance camp in Srinagar

Srinagar : Continuing the Government’s public outreach program, Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar held grievance redressal camp at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar where he interacted with several public delegations and individuals, here Tuesday.
During the public hearing, about 38 delegations and 58 individuals attended the camp and put forth their issues for redressal.
MLC Girdhari Lal Raina apprised the Advisor about his issue and sought his intervention in conducting verification of documents of the shortlisted candidates of Jammu division by JKSSB in Jammu only in spite calling them to Srinagar for the purpose.
A delegation of Link workers met the Advisor and requested for their adjustment against any N.O Post and enhancement of honorarium.
A delegation of Kerosene Oil retailers from Srinagar city presented their case and urged for their rehabilitation and uniform of scale of K Oil to consumers of Kashmir valley.
Two dental surgeons posted in Uri and Leh working there since last 10-12 years requested the Advisor for their transfer to home district on humanitarian basis.
Members of Ayush Doctors Association requested cognizance into serious scam of purchase of spurious drugs established by vigilance organization J&K.
Similarly, a delegation of Health Educators promoted in 2007 requested for directing the concerned authorities for issuance of order of incentives, time bound promotion.
A group of Physiotherapists working at GMC Srinagar working for the past many years sought the Advisor’s intervention in their transfer.
Representatives of Multipurpose Health Workers met the Advisor and urged for removing the stagnation on the same positions for the last 24 years since the first appointment in the department.
A delegation of Civil Societies Federation, Pattan came up with a request for maintenance the status of Trauma Centre and SDH Pattan as independent entities at their respective places.
Residents from Druma, Rajouri sought the intervention in renovation of Govt Medical Sub Centre Challas, Medical Block Manjakote and up gradation as PHC.
A delegation of Dental Technicians of Srinagar city met the Advisor presented their case and requested for their registration under Part ‘B’ so that they can start practicing and earn their livelihood.
People of Tribal Community of district Bandipora demanded construction of community hall and few other developmental works for the welfare of tribal people.
Besides, several individuals also met the Advisor and registered their issues/demands including clearance of SRO 43 cases pending in different departments, request of financial assistance, shed for storage of fruits, flood relief, release of land compensation, construction of lane & drains, residential accommodation to migrant families, other public importance and developmental issues.
Advisor K Vijay Kumar gave them a patient hearing and said their grievances/demands would be examined and the concerned departments will be asked to redress all of their genuine concerns.
He also passed on spot instructions in few cases to concerned officers/departments to look into the grievances raised by the people at the camp and to resolve them in timely manner.
K Vijay Kumar assured the people who turned up at the camp with grievances/demands that serious effort is being made to resolve the issues of the people for which all the departments have been directed to seriously look into the issues and to act on accordingly.
