Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) on Sunday paid tributes to Shabir Ahmed Dar who was killed in Pulwama gunfight, stating that killing of each youth is very painful as “these youth strongly feel occupation and spill their blood to resist it, while seeking their legitimate right , the right to self determination.”
Hurriyat (M) as per the statement issued to KNS strongly denounced the arrest of five youth of Bandipora under draconian PSA and later shifting them Jammu’s Kotbalwal jail and said that these authoritarian policies are revenge against Kashmiris as the Govt’s Election “drama” has totally flopped.
Hurriyat strongly castigated the authorities for the arrest of its senior leader Masroor Abbas Ansari who recently underwent sensitive liver transplant surgery and termed his arrest as a political vendetta and a highly undemocratic move aimed at forcing resistance leaders into submission.
Hurriyat strongly condemned the continuous arrest of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, aged leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Muhammad Yasin Malik, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War besides many other leaders and the crackdown on its leaders that include Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Mushtaq Ahmad Sufi and dozens of other terming these arrests as totally unjustified and undemocratic.
Hurriyat termed the suspension of Kashmiri students at Aligarh Muslim University who wanted to offer Gaibana Namaz-e Jinaza of their senior Sheheed Manan Wani as inhuman and said it’s unfortunate that the level of intolerance has touched such a low in India where students are suspended for just offering prayers!
Hurriyat also demanded that all the students terminated by the varsity should be immediately reinstated and their harassment stopped.
