Kashmir discriminated in reinstatement of forcible retirees on double bench High Court order

Srinagar : The officers and officials forcibly retired by the previous Mehbooba government are facing discrimination in their reinstatement on a double bench order of the High Court Jammu and Kashmir as lately Chief Secretary has ordered reinstatement of two officials from Jammu in compliance of a double bench HC order and returned the file of five officials from Kashmir Valley whose reinstatement has been ordered in the same order of the double bench of Jammu and Kashmir High court.
Quoting sources local news gathering agency KNS reported  that while deciding the implementation of a double bench order of Jammu and Kashmir High Court for reinstatement of 63 officers and officials, the government has ordered reinstatement of 32 out of 38 officials from Jammu and only two out of 25 officials of Kashmir Valley.
Consequent upon the government, decision to file SLPs against the double bench High Court order in respect of each forcible retiree, the competent authorities have reinstated two officials from Kashmir and two from Jammu taking the toll of reinstated officials of Jammu division to 34.
Recently, the law department had sought the approval of Chief Secretary for reinstatement of seven officials including two from Jammu division and five from Kashmir Valley but Chief Secretary has ordered the reinstatement of two officials of Jammu division on double bench High court order and returned the files of five officials of Kashmir division without issuing orders for their reinstatement.
A top government official on conditions of anonymity said “the files of five forcible retirees of Kashmir division recommended for their reinstatement are being tossed up from desk to desk in different departments at Civil Secretariat and options are being explored for resubmitting the files to Chief Secretary for review on their reinstatement.”
