Srinagar, Sep 13: Army on Thursday said that two militants were killed in an ongoing encounter in Arampora area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and the operation is continuing.
In a statement to KNS, Army’s defence Spokesman Rajesh Kalia said “two militants have been killed and the operation is continuing in Arampora area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.”
It may be mentioned here that in the wee hours government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Arampora area of Sopore town after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area. A gunfight was trigerred during the searches and lately army confirmed the killing of two militants in the ongoing gunfight. The identity of two slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
