Friday prayers disallowed at historic Jamia Masjid

Srinagar: Ahead of 2nd anniversary of popular Hizb Commander Burhan Wani authorities have either arrested or placed top Hurriyat leaders under house arrest while in a bid to foil possible protests restrictions were imposed restrictions in parts of old Srinagar city including Nowhatta.
No Friday prayers were allowed at historic Jamia Masjid that was sealed by government forces throughout the day.
