Srinagar: “The fall of Haseeb Drabu became the reason for the fall of PDP-BJP Government. Mehbooba lost link with New Delhi after she ousted Drabu,” this was revealed by disgruntled PDP legislature Javaid Hussain Beigh who represents Baramulla constituency of North Kashmir.
Biegh when contacted said Haseeb Drabu was a New Delhi man who had direct links with Bhartiya Janata Party and was a key to PDP-BJP alliance. “The day Drabu was ousted, I objected and raised the issue with Chief Minister but as usual she ignored me,” Beigh said.
He said PDP didn’t treat Drabu well. “He was humiliated. His humiliation cost Mehbooba heavily who is now facing wrath from her own party members.”
Describing Drabu as a vital bridge between New Delhi and PDP, Beigh claimed that PDP-BJP Government would have never ended beforehand if Drabu would have been in the Cabinet. “Drabu was the architect of alliance between Peoples Democratic Party and Bhartiya Janata Party. Some inexperienced people hatched a conspiracy and Mehbooba showed him door.”
Javaid Hussain Beigh also claimed that party senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh will also decide about his future in coming days. “I am telling you, he (Muzaffar Beigh) will also take a decision that will be crucial,” he said.
When asked has he left the party, Beigh said he was never part of the party but always considered himself as ‘suspended’ MLA. “How can I leave the party when I was never part of it. Mehbooba unlike her father never took me seriously and respected me. I was nowhere and never mattered for the party.”
While responding to a question, Beigh said that no BJP leader has contacted him.
