KupwaraA fresh batch of 75 aspiring entrepreneurs including seven girls completed their three-week Entrepreneurship  Development  Program (EDP) from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Kupwara.

The batch comprising young educated boys and girls were trained under Seed capital Fund Scheme of J&K Government. The training program was modelled for manufacturing, services and agro-allied sectors.

District Development Commissioner Khalid Jehangir presided over the valediction ceremony.

“We must utilize our indigenous resources and develop entrepreneurial ventures which in turn will generate employment,” the DDC said.

He also interacted with the prospective entrepreneurs and assured all the help in setting up their own business ventures.

The three-week entrepreneurship program was aimed at providing lessons on skill development performance improvement as well as business-cum sector-specific training for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The program was part of Institute’s mission to foster the entrepreneurial culture, wherein JKEDI is committed to provide both financial and non-financial assistance.
