Srinagar: A youth was killed while two others were injured in alleged army firing at Nowpora area of Mir Bazar in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
A senior police officer told GNS that a group of youth pelted stones on army’s 9 RR party who allegedly resorted some shots.
In the incident, three persons suffered serious bullet wounds, he said.
All the three injured were taken to Janglat Mandi hospital in neighboring Anantnag district.
A doctor who operated upon the trio told GNS that among the three injured one youth namely Aijaz Ahmad Dar declared brought dead on arrival.
Two more injured were referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment. (GNS)
