The meeting also discussed the modalities for distribution of additional one kg sugar as announced by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as Ramadan Special.

The DDC  directed Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs to ensure that every ration ticket holder, both priority and non-priority including APL category shall get one kg additional sugar within a week’s time from Saturday.

The meeting was informed that sufficient quantity of essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar, kerosene oil and LPG is available in all godowns and fair price shops of FCS&CA department across the district including border Gurez subdivision.
