Srinagar: Director General of Police SP Vaid Thursday claimed that one of the militants killed in Tral forest gunfight was the operational commander of the Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit.
In a tweet, Vaid said: “Operational commander of JeM Mufti Yasir was among those killed in joint operation in upper reaches of Tral.”
He also tweeted an undated purported picture of the slain militant Mufti Yasir photographed alongside JeM chief Masood Azhar.

Four militants including two locals were killed in Laam Forest area of Tral town during a gun fight on Teusday. A soldier Ajay Kumar and SOG man Latif Gojri were also killed in the gunfight.
