Any opener for those questioning the investigation conducted by the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police into the rape and murder of Kathua minor girl is the report of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory which confirms that vaginal swabs of the Kathua gangrape-and-murder victim matched with those of the accused alreast charge sheeted by the crime Branch. The lawyers and politicians of Jammu who are pitching for an inquiry into the Kathua minor’s rape and murder case have now no point to contest the investigation conducted by the crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police as the medical examination confirming that vaginal swabs of the Kathua gangrape-and-murder victim matched with those of the accused has been conducted by Delhi Forensic Laboratory but not the Jammu & Kashmir Forensic Laboratory considered to be a sister organization of Jammu & Kashmir police. By all standards of investigative understandabilities the fact finding report of Delhi Forensic Laboratory has cleared all doubts about the transparency of the investigation conducted by the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir and proved it beyond doubt that the accused are the real culprits. After all the Delhi Forensic Laboratory can come under the influence of central but not the Jammu & Kashmir government. The politicians and lawyers expressing their lack of faith in the investigation conducted by Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir Police have no reason to question the impartiality of the medical examination conducted by Forensic Laboratory Delhi. The Jammu High Court Bar Association and the lawyers of Kathua Bar Association who threatened and blocked the filing of charge sheets early this month must now seek an unconditional apology for showing the lack of faith in Crime Branch investigation and threatening the lawyers and the investigators of the Crime Branch of the Jammu & Kashmir police.

Having a critical evidence like the medical examination of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory Delhi in hand the Crime Branch of the Jammu & Kashmir as per its statement issued on Saturday is now in the process of filing a supplementary charge sheet to prove its points reflected in the preliminary charge sheet and it seems that fast trial of the Kathua rape case would be now facilitated by the medical examination report of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory.

Shockingly the lawyers of Jammu High Court Bar Association and Bar Association Kathua despite knowing that the investigation by the crime branch was being conducted under the supervision of the Hon’ble high showed misconduct only to attract condemnation and criticism from the Supreme Court and Bar Council of India.
