Pulwama: Clashes erupted in Chandgam Tahab area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district after Government Forces launched a search operation there.
Reports said that groups of youth pelted stones on Forces who retaliated with tear-smoke shells.
Cordon and Search Operation was launched after reports about the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, Army resorted to aerial firing after its Casper vehicle came under attack from stone-pelters at Wachi area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Locals alleged that they were thrashed by soldiers while shopkeepers said that army vandalized their shops.
An official downplayed the incident and said that a couple of miscreants hurled few stones on vehicle, however, Army showed maximum restraint and didn’t retaliate.
