Srinagar: Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday said “repressive measures” imposed by authorities in Kashmir can not break the resolve of Kashmiri people for “freedom”.
According to the Hurriyat (M) spokesperson meeting of the party was held on Monday to take stock of present political situation in Kashmir. “The meeting expressed serious concern over the unending bloodshed, killing of innocents, harassment of youth, frequent searches in every nook and corner of valley and the reign of terror unleashed by the forces under the patronage of ruling regime…,” said Hurriyat spokesperson.
“These repressive measures can neither break the resolve of resistance leadership nor the people of Kashmir as the sentiment for freedom runs deep in the hearts of every citizen,” he added.
Hurriyat leaders Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Musadiq Adil and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza participated in the meetind said the spokesperson.
