Sagar, others stage walkout from LA against deepening power crisis in Kashmir

Jammu: Opposition members Ali Mohamma Sagar (NC), Altaf Kaloo (NC), Vikar Rasool (Congress), Usman Majeed (Congress) and Vikar Rasool (Congress) walked out from the legislative assembly to protest against the deepening power crisis in Kashmir valley.
The members accused Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh holding the portfolio of power development department of failing to address the concerns of the house and taking the members raising concerns on collapse of power distribution system “far granted”. Singh faced a volley of questions on the return of power project to the state from the opposition benches and opposition members even accused the speaker of silencing the opposition on the failure of the government in addressing the concerns on power distribution failures of the government in Kashmir valley.
Not satisfied with the reply of the Deputy Chief Minister on continuing power crisis in Kashmir Ali Mohammad Sagar walkout to protest the government’s failure and within seconds he was followed by Altaf Kaloo (NC), Vikar Rasool (Congress), and Usman Majeed (Congress).
