Jammu: National Conference legislator from South Kashmir Abdul Majid Larmi Monday sought answer from the government on what basis Government Forces have been harassing the families of militants and damaging their properties.
From past couple of days, Government Forces according to locals of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district have conducted night raids, thrashed people and damaged their properties.
The latest incidents were reported from Panew and Redwani villages of the district.
“What is the crime of the families of militants? Why their families and neighbors are being harassed? The Forces have damaged the houses and vehicles. The cost of damages is not less than Rs 30 lakh each,” said Larmi, adding that “Why does it happen every day?”
Larmi asked the government to explain the reasons for “harassing” the militant’s family and relatives. “If anyone is militant, what is the crime of his family or any of his relative,” he said.
