Srinagar:  Joint Director Agriculture Extension, Abdul Rahim Samoon Saturday informed that sale of all the fertilizers to farmers or buyers will be made only through the Point of Sale devices installed at each retailer shop.

He added beneficiaries will be identified through documents like Kissan card, Aadhar card and voter identity.

The joint director said this during a meeting to review the progress of distribution of Point of Sale devices to the retailers of different districts of Kashmir Division.

He assured that department is committed to upholding the quality standards of fertilizers and no laxity in this regard can be tolerated. He said the companies or distributors if found violating set norms would be legally dealt with.

While talking about Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Joint Director said the subsidies are directly transferred to beneficiaries through their bank accounts, to make the transactions transparent and sustained.
