South Kashmir Civil Society holds one day conference at Dak Bungalow Khanabal Anantnag

Anantnag: South Kashmir civil society organised a one day conference Kashmir Conundrum Stakes & Stakeholders. Times of india Columnist Sagrika Ghose Journalist Shahid Siddiqui, Ramya Vashihtha, Rajni Shaleen Chopra & Sadhvi Khosla spoke on the occasion. Various Educationists, Professors, Civil society members, media personalities & students participated in the programme. Main focus on the programme was kashmir issue. The guests listned the participants patiently and ensured, that they will make majority of Indians understand , the various parameters of k issue and will work for its final solution.
Mir Mukhtar Ahmad regular columnist of English Daily “The Kashmir Horizon” also attended the event & discussed the various possible solutions of kashmir issue. He requested guests to give a message to the majority of the population to understand the reality of kashmir issue. Some fundamentalist channels in gaining TRP’s are misleading the innocent population of India. Some political leaders are working hand in glove with them for which Sagrika agreed.
Rao Farman Ali Author of several books elaborated the kashmir issue right from 1846. He explained the history of Islam right from Makkah to Madina. Prof Gull Wani, Bashir Andrabi, Prof Muslim Jan of MERC University of Kashmir & Lahar Chairman also spoke on the occasion. Several papers were presented. Zaffar Farooq Salati of South Kashmir civil society hosted the programme & vote of thanks was presented by Sabiha of Lahar(NGO)
Sagrika Ghose & Shahid Siddiqui briefed the audience how they are threatened for fair journalism. Even Shahid Siddiqui has been jailed several times. Sagrika Ghose has been threatened alongwith her children. Sagrika thanked the people of kashmir & their hospitality.
