B’pora: The Department Of Legal Metrology Bandipora headed by Assistant Controller conducted market checking at Dangarpora Sumbal, Malangam ,Quil, Gamroo, Lowdara and Madar area during which 19 traders were booked under violation of the provisions of legal metrology laws. A fine of Rs 800 was also realized from the erring traders.
On the occasion, the business community and general public were given awareness regarding the consumer rights and various laws of metrology.
