Jammu: A fifteen days Capsule Training Course for in-service field functionaries of the Sericulture Development Department was inaugurated by Additional Director, Sericulture, Rajinder Kumar in presence of Principal Sericulture Training Institute, Ashwani Kumar and other officers of the department.
The training program is aimed at capacity building and skill up gradation of the field functionaries for better implementation of different programs of the department. The training covering all aspects of the department shall be imparted by the senior officers of the Sericulture Department, Scientists from Central Silk Board and SKUAST-J so that technical knowhow of the filed functionaries is upgraded especially in the areas of field plantation and its survival, successful silkworm rearing leading to improvement in both quality and quantity of the cocoons aimed at enhancing net farmer’s income from Sericulture.
