Bandipora: Some sycophants have become active to save the school management which played with the career of Class 10th students.
Police have already sealed Noorani Secondary Educational Institute Sumbal and arrested its Chairperson and her husband after they failed to provide roll number slips to Class 10th students who were scheduled to appear in examination conducted by Board of School Education on Thursday.
Sources said some sycophants have become active and have been trying to persuade parents of the wards to take their complaint back. “Some people affiliated with a particular political party contacted us and requested to withdraw the complaint against the school management from police station Sumbal,” said the father of a ward.
“We refused to do so, but they have been using pressure tactics. If they don’t stop, we will expose them,” said another man.
Meanwhile, parents and students on Friday staged a massive protest yet again demanding stern action against the school management. They demanded that the owners of the school should be booked under Public Safety Act and they should be barred from running the school.
Protesting parents also met Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari and requested him to hold examination for the left out students.
SDPO Sumbal Sheikh Tahir when contacted over phone said that law will take its own course. “Accused have played with the career of students and an FIR stands lodged against them,” he said and appealed parents and students to repose faith in police.
