Protest against brutalities of Ròhingya Muslims held across Kashmir, Jammu parts

Srinagar/Jammu:Protests were held across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday against the killings and persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
In Kashmir, protests were held in Srinagar, Sopore, Tral, Pampore and Anantnag areas in which world silence over the Rohingya issue was condemened and slogans raised against the Myanmar government for the “genocide” of Muslims in the Rakhine state.
After culmination of Friday prayers, scores of people staged demonstrations at Khankah-e-Faiz Panah Tral and Khankah-e-Maula Pampore in solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
In Anantnag, protesters clashes with police and paramilitary forces during protests against the Myanmar government.
Angry protesters torched a police vehicle while six policemen sustained injuries during the clashes in Lal Chowk area.
Earlier, hundreds took part in a solidarity march organized for Rohingya Muslims in the town.
Hundreds of protesters took part in similar protests after Friday prayers in Banihal, Khari, Gool and Batote area of Ramban district. Traders Federation Banihal had called for the protests.
In Jammu town, Muslim youth took to streets to express their anger at the killings.
Similar protests were held in Bhadarwah, Doda and Kishtwar districts after Friday prayers.
Hundreds of people assembled at Bus stand Kishtwar after Friday prayers and staged a peaceful demonstration against the innocent killings of Muslims in Myanmar.
Raising slogans such as “stop the genocide” and “UNO, break your silence”, the protestors sought intervention of other nations to stop innocent killings.
Addressing the protesters, Imam Jamia Masjid Farooq Ahmed Kitchloo and Imam Umar Masjid Kishtwar, Molvi Abdul Qayoom lamented that the Myanmar government is killing the Muslims of the country. Protestors also demanded immediate intervention of Muslim countries to stop the killings.
