Srinagar/July,21: Strict curfew like restrictions in the nine police stations of Srinagar city imposed to foil the call of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) for march to the United Nations Military Observers Group in India & Pakistan (UNMOGIP) office at Sonawar in the outskirts of city and a complete shutdown observed across Kashmir against the alleged Human Rights (HR) violations by the government forces has crippled normal life in valley.

Authorities have placed restrictions in most parts of the city under Section 144 however . Reports said curfew like restrictions are in place in most parts of Srinagar and concertina wires have been used to block all the main entry points leading to UNMOGIP Office Sonwar in Srinagar and other areas where restrictions have been imposed.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq Lone had Thursday evening announced that restrictions under section 144 CrPc have been imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven police stations — Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, M.R.Gunj, Safa Kadal, Maisuma and Ram Munshibagh.

Meanwhile, all shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed across the valley Kashmir and extra number of police and forces are seen deployed everywhere.
