Jammu/June,9: Commercial Taxes Department, Jammu Division has constituted teams headed by Assistant Commissioners and Commercial Taxes Officers so as educate dealers regarding GST and to facilitate them in migration and enrollment to GSTN portal.
These teams organised seminars from 6th to 8th June at various places of Jammu division like warehouse, Gole Market Gandhi Nagar, Apsara Road, Bari Brahamana, Kathua, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Katra, Doda, Billawar, Rajouri and Poonch in which migration and enrolment process for dealers was demonstrated and their queries were answered. The dealers were made aware about the procedural requirements and documentation required for the process.
Besides, pamphlets were distributed containing basic information regarding enrolment and migration process. The dealers were also made aware about Round the Clock Facilitation Centres and a dedicated GST Lab constituted within the Commercial Taxs department for their help.
The Department has also hired agencies like 92.7 FM, Jammu links Media Hub and E-going business solutions so as to increase outreach and assist dealers in every possible manner.
