Srinagar/June,3: The joint resistance leadership has called for peaceful protests after Friday prayers against the “witch-hunt, coercion and intimidation of resistance activists, leaders and members of the business community.”
“People will also strongly protest the Indian electronic media’s propaganda war against Kashmiris and its shameless attempt to discredit people’s freedom struggle,” said the leadership, in a statement, issued here Monday.
Referring to raids by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on pro-freedom leaders and businessmen, the resistance leadership said they were “ready to face every challenge thrown its way” and that they knew that life for them would never be a “bed of roses”.
