Srinagar, Jun 1: Classes in Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) and College in various districts of the Kashmir valley remained suspended today as a precautionary measure, an official spokesman said.
However, class work in all schools upto 10th was normal in the valley.
Class work in educational institutions remained suspended sinceMay 27 after the killing of Sabzar Bhat, successor of Burhan Wani Hizbul Mujahideen (HC) commander, who waskilled in July last year.
He said according to District Magistrate (DM) Srinagar, Class work in all colleges and Higher Secondary Schools of District Srinagar shall remain suspended today. However, the staff members have been directed to attend their duties in their respective institutions.
In Budgam, class work in all Higher Secondary Institutions and Colleges shall remain suspended today as a precautionary measure. However, the staff shall remain present in the institutions
All the educational institutions in Anantnag district including colleges remain closed today on the directions of District Magistrate.
Similarly, in Kulgam, the academic activity of all educational institutions including colleges shall remained suspended for today.
Meanwhile, according to District administration Ganderbal, class work in Government Degree College Ganderbal, Government Degree College Kangan and Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal remained suspended today as a precautionary measure.
Similarly according to DM Pulwama, all the Higher Secondary Institutions and Degree Colleges of the district remained suspended today.
According to DM Shopian, class work in all Educational Institutions of the district also remained suspended on today.
